AnythingConverter would never collect personal data!

Only our service providers store data when you register or subscribe:

  • Supabase: Email (on signup/login), user ID, optionally stripe_customer_id, subscription status/tier.
  • Stripe: Customer data (email, payment info) when someone purchases or subscribes.

4. How Your Information Is Used

AnythingConverter does not use personal data. Our service providers use the data they store only as follows:

  • Supabase: To authenticate you (login/signup), to link your account to your subscription tier, and to display your subscription status on your dashboard.
  • Stripe: To process payments and manage subscriptions (billing, renewals, customer portal).

We use our service (client-side and server-side conversion) without collecting or using any personal data from you.

5. Data Processing and Storage

5.1 Client-Side Processing

Most conversions (images, videos, audio) are processed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly technology. Your files never leave your device, ensuring maximum privacy.

5.2 Server-Side Processing

Document conversions (PDF, DOCX, etc.) are processed on our server located in Austria. Files are:

  • Transmitted securely via HTTPS
  • Processed immediately upon receipt
  • Automatically deleted immediately after download or after 5 minutes (whichever comes first)
  • Never stored permanently or used for any other purpose

5.3 Hosting

Our website is hosted by w3w.de (Germany). Our conversion server is operated privately in Austria. All data processing occurs within the European Union, ensuring GDPR compliance.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use the following cookies and tracking technologies:

6.1 Essential Cookies

• Conversion Limit Tracking: We use local storage to track your daily conversion count (free users only).

• Cookie Consent: We store your cookie preferences in local storage.

6.2 Analytics Cookies

• Umami Analytics: Privacy-friendly analytics that doesn't collect personal data or use tracking cookies.

6.3 Advertising Cookies (with consent)

• Google AdSense: If you accept cookies, we display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show personalized ads. You can opt out at any time by rejecting cookies in our cookie banner.

For Premium and Lifetime subscriptions, we use secure third-party payment processors (Stripe, PayPal). We do not store your credit card information.

AnythingConverter does not hold personal data (see section 3). For account and subscription data held by Supabase and Stripe, we cannot fulfill these rights ourselves—we will forward your request to the relevant provider or tell you how to contact them. For any other request, contact us.

Retention of account data (Supabase) and payment/subscription data (Stripe) is governed by those providers; see their privacy policies.

10. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Secure server infrastructure in the EU
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Access controls and authentication
  • Automatic file deletion after processing

Our service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

All data processing occurs within the European Union. We do not transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA, except through third-party services (Google AdSense) that comply with GDPR requirements.
